The area is absolutely stunning, still Spanish - over 3000 years of history. Aguilas is a lovely port/seaside town with its own little castle and other sights. It is divided into 2, the mountain with the castle in the middle - from the air it looks like an eagle, the 2 bays forms the wings. This is where the name comes from, as eagle in Spanish is Aquilas.

There is everything you could dream of in the area, unspoiled beaches, plenty of opportunities
for short or long walks, 4 golf courses nearby and of course restaurants, supermarkets and shopping center.

Beaches: 5 min walk down the road and loads (35 in Aguilas alone) in just 10-15 minutes drive.
Cities: Murcia 60 min., San Juan De Los Terreros (Almeria)15 min., Lorca 35 min.
Golf: 4 in the area, the fantastic Aguilon golf course is about 15 minutes away.
Airports: Murcia 60 min., Almeria 70 min, Alicante 105 minutes
Ski: Sierra Nevada is approximately 3 hours drive.
Yacht club: In Aguilas, so only 5 minutes.
