The Resort
Mosa – Altaona Golf Resort is located in an idyllic spot on the borders of a UNESCO-protected natura of Murcia, close to Costa Calida and easily accessible Costa Blanca. It is at the foot of the Sierra de Carrescoy mountains - good views as 150-250 m over sea level.
Originally it was specifically chosen based on the region’s warm climate and blue skies.
It was first opened in 2004 and the plan was to build 1500 luxury properties, only about 500 were build. New developers are now investing in the resort. The golf course is up and running again – 18 holes. There are a golf shop, restaurant and bar. The 300 years old farmhouse El Parador is also expected to be brought back to its old glory and the commercial centre will also be opening in 2023.
The surroundings
The resort is beautifully placed at the foot of the Sierra de Carrescoy mountains which surround a part of Murcia City, so hence the reason Murcia City (Spain’s 7th largest city) is only 10 minutes drive from the resort. Murcia International Airport is less than 10 min drive, in connection with the new airport, a new industrial area is being build – the first ones in are Amazon with one of their biggest automated robot distribution centres in Spain. It as expected that there eventually will be hotel, shopping centre etc..
A vast number of different lovely beaches can be reached in 20-25 minutes. Many to choose from in Mar Menor, but also at the Mediterranean Sea either at Cartagena or just North of Mar Menor.
