Das Resort
Altaona Golf and Country Village is in an idyllic spot on the borders of a UNESCO-protected natura of Murcia, close to the beaches at Costa Calida and only 10 minutes from Murcia City. It is at the foot of the Sierra de Carrescoy mountains - good views as 150-250 m over sea level.

It was first opened in 2004 over the last couple of years a lot of lovely new developments have started, some are already lived in, some in the progress of being build and some nice projects are on offer. On top of the 18 holes golf course there are also other exciting sports facilities in the pipe line. It boost several restaurants and bars and more is expected soon. The 300 years old farmhouse “El Parador” is also expected to be brought back to its old glory during 2025.
Die Umgebung
The resort is beautifully placed at the foot of the Sierra de Carrescoy mountains which surround a part of Murcia City, so hence the reason Murcia City (Spain’s 7th largest city) is only 10 minutes’ drive from the resort. Murcia International Airport is less than 10 min drive, in connection with the new airport, a new industrial area is being build, one of the first one was build was Amazon with a massive distribution centre and regional HQ.
A vast number of different lovely beaches can be reached in 20-25 minutes. Many to choose from in Mar Menor, but also at the Mediterranean Sea either at Cartagena or just North of Mar Menor.
